An article today reports on some success in mass-producing imitation spider silk through some Island-of-Doctor-Moreau-esque genetic combination of silkworms, spiders and goats.

Apparently through some fancy, yet probably icky process, they can tinker with some goats so their milk forms a certain protein which can then be fiddled with and spun into something resembling spider . . . → Read More: Because We Can
